![]() :-) Granted, it has a learning curve and you can expect to spend 2-3 hours to get good at using it. I just tried the ProFlight 3 demo for a couple of VFR flights and will be purchasing the full version. Hopefully I'll have time to take it for a spin within the next few days. Are these other ACTs better at avoiding midair collisions, or is it that they offer more options? Really appreciating all the replies and opinions you've been giving me! (It's only happend once, but kinda took me off guard and I was flying the headings that ATC was giving me). All of a sudden another plane collides with me. ![]() It's night and cloudy and I get the all clear from Bradley to land on runway 6. I hadn't really thought about getting an alternate ATC plugin until recently when I was flying a short hop from Long Island to CT. Only problem is if like me you live in a weird time zone, you have to keep track of when other regions are likely to be active. 99% better than most multiplayer alternatives when it comes to 12 year olds just saying ♥♥♥♥ and *** every 3 seconds lol. Ultimately I think a lot of us have felt your pane for a long time OP :) I've tried them, but really they're only backups to when VATSIM is sparse really. Ultimately, I i use it for brushing up, buy (or trial ) a month at a time). I think pilotedge is probably the best ATC, but its $20 a month, $35 for the expansion, and well. One great thing about VATSIM or I suppose Ivao is that you don't actually know how experienced the controller is - it's fantastic practice for the real world - think before you affirm! ![]() Can't blame ATC_ROO for sticking with TeamSpeak since voice quality (although pretty good in FSX-SE but becomes 'broken up' as I said earlier) in the FSX FSOpen sessions is really poor.I can't really complain about VATSIM at all, it's been my primary source of multiplayer for a long time lol. One problem we have run into with Steam is the voice coms - begin to break up if there are more than a few on and some have reported not being able to change from the default frequencies using the usual mouse-to-display method. ![]() I have also been 'worked' by ATC_ROO who 'gives good session'. You might want to check with the guys at - they do ATC on Steam, FSOpen and VATSIM so probably know how this works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Īlso a RW pilot. Anyone know where I can find it? I can run a semi-formal ATC myself since I would find enjoyment out of that, too. I'm excited for the multiplayer and would like to fly local around a towered airfield with ATC. Licensed pilot here (I'm guessing there are many others, too?).
